Join us and our sailboat on a 2000 Nautical Mile journey, using nothing but sun, wind and water. 0% Diesel, 0% gasoline, 0% external shore power charging. Just a very smart engine and propeller, solar cells and our sails.
 
The sailboat, a 34 foot Smaragd, is getting a total makeover. We have ripped out the engine, the tank, the tubes and the smell of fossil fuel. We are installing a new electric drive, two batteries, a smart propeller and intelligent software. The propeller will charge while we are on sails. The solar cells as well.

We will not need to visit marinas to charge our batteries. Instead we will stop to share our experiences traveling on 100% sun, wind and water. While at it, we will raise the issue of plastics and trawl for micro-plastics along the way.
