THE POD DRIVE
Voila....this is it. The old engine, the tank, the tubes, the smell, the fuel, the holes for emission and cooling water are all gone. They are being replaced by this little shining plug inside the boat, and the sleek pod and folding propeller underneath it.
Late last night the Västervik Guest Marina finally showed up in front of Johanna. The racing team drove from Stockholm and arrived more or less exactly at the same time. The next morning we prepped the boat, unhatched the compost, and lifted some other heavy stuff out from Johanna. Still, she is maybe not exactly racing-lite... having been used for long-distance sailing for some two-plus months... Great job team ACT 2020!!! You sail raced four major races around the country w
Ok, Lysekil and Rainbow Warrior action is done. Now time to start the 500+ Nautical Mile haul around Sweden. Single-handed from Lysekil to Västervik on a tight schedule. Why in such a hurry? Our racing girls will be waiting in Västervik, ready to participate in the Byxelkroken Race between Västervik and Byxelkrok on Öland. A short stop in Copenhagen for a 30-year celebration party is fitted into the schedule...but that's about it in terms of "resting" from the tiller duties.

If built, it will be Sweden’s largest producer of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. But hey, wait a minute...more fossil fuels in 2020? Are you serious?
